Minor Baseball Summer League

League Overview
Come try out the fun and exciting sport of baseball in 2026 with Dofasco Minor Baseball! 

The Dofasco Minor Baseball program is open to children/grandchildren of ArcelorMittal Dofasco employees, retirees, family members, and ArcelorMittal Dofasco sponsored associates.

Skill Levels:

  • All skill levels are welcome!
Divisions offered:
  • T-Ball (born 2020-23) – $105 + HST.
  • 9U (born 2017-2019) – $210 + HST.
  • 11U (born 2015-16) – $220 + HST.
  • 13U (born 2013-14) – $230 + HST.
  • 15U (born 2011-12) – $255 + HST.
  • 18U (born 2008-10) – $275 + HST.
Fee includes the following:  
  • Uniform (Hat and team shirt for T Ball. Hat, jersey, socks and pants (belts if required) for all other divisions.
  • Player/Team picture at the start of the season
  • Full regular season of games on expertly manicured diamonds from May-August
  • 2 Hamilton-wide tournaments for all divisions from 9U through 18U – (July/August)
  • Closing day BBQ for all divisions including the T Ball Jamboree

 All players must wear and supply their own helmet, glove and athletic support. Baseball cleats are recommended 9U-18U.

We are always looking for coaches to help us make this season a success. If you are interested in coaching in any capacity, please indicate this on your registration form (Note: Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required and the cost for this check is covered).

Schedule

The Dofasco Minor Baseball program plays games throughout the week (Monday to Thursday) with home games at the F.H. Sherman Recreation & Learning Centre. Away games will be played with other teams within the Hamilton District Baseball Association at their facilities. The evening where and when you play depends on the interlocking schedule.

T-Ball:

  • Season runs June – August
  • Monday and/or Wednesday nights @ 6pm
  • Practice and games are combined for each night of play
  • All games are played at Dofasco – Diamonds 6 or 7 or 4(Wednesdays if needed)
9U-18U
  • Season runs May – August (evaluations and practices start at the beginning of May)
  • Monday-Thursday games 1 or 2/week
  • Practices will be Friday evening or Saturday morning
  • Home games are played on Diamonds 3, 5, 6, or 7 depending on schedule and division
  • The schedule will be developed by HDBA in late April/early May and communicated to all players once finalized.
Refund Schedule
*Please note, to obtain a refund, you must contact the league registrar at registrar.dmb@gmail.com and request a refund via email. All refunds will be issued by e-transfer or directly on the card used for payment. A 20% non-refundable fee will be levied on all refunds. *
  • 50% refund if notified via email after April 15th, 2026, less administrative fee
  • NO REFUNDS if notified via email after May 15th, 2026
  • Any refunds due to an injury making the player ineligible to play will be handled on a case-by-case basis

  • Must be certified – *Dofasco’s Minor Baseball League will reimburse anyone attending the umpire clinic the cost for the certification
  • Must be 12 years or older
  • Training available @ Dofasco park
  • Paid position
