League Overview

The AMD Mixed Beach Volleyball League is open to AMD employees, retirees, family members, and AMD sponsored associates.

Skill Level: All skills welcome!

Ages: 18+

Ratio Requirements: Please note the league will be forming teams taking into consideration Male:Female ratio.

Price: $150 + HST *AMD employees, retirees, and family members receive a 10% discount.

Schedule

The AMD Mixed Beach Volleyball League runs May-August and plays on Tuesday evenings @ 6:30pm-8:30pm at the F.H. Sherman Recreation & Learning Centre.

2024 Season Start Date: Tuesday, May 21, 2024

2024 Season End Date: Tuesday, August 27, 2024

Refund Policy

League is subject to folding in the event there are insufficient registrations. If the league is cancelled, you are entitled to a full refund.
Cancelled games due to weather cancellations, facility issues etc. will not be made up.
If circumstances beyond your control impact your ability to participate in the league, please contact either Sara Aitken (aitkensara@yahoo.ca) or Alicia Parry (ajp55@yahoo.com)
Full refunds for medical reasons will be authorized prior to program start. After the start date, refunds will be prorated.
All other full refund requests must be received 5 business days prior to the start of the program. After the start date, redunds will be prorated.
If 50% or more of the program has elapsed, no refund will be issued.

League Waiver & Privacy Policy

I understand that I play in the Mixed Beach Volleyball League at my own risk and hereby release each of ArcelorMittal Dofasco G.P., F.H. Sherman Recreation & Learning Centre, and the Mixed Beach Volleyball League from any claims of any kind for any damage to any of my property or injury to myself. In case of any medical or other emergency that may occur while I am participating in these activities, I hereby authorize ArcelorMittal Dofasco G.P., its servants and employees, to take such action as they consider appropriate, including, without limitation, providing or obtaining medical or surgical attention. I agree to indemnify each of them against any claim made by others for any act of default by me occurring, during, or arising out of my participation.

I agree to comply with all municipal, provincial and federal requirements and protocols that may be in place from time to time in connection with Covid-19, together with any related requirements and protocols established by ArcelorMittal Dofasco from time to time, and any failure to do so may result in termination of membership at the option of the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Recreation.

THE UNDERSIGNED PARTICIPANT UNDERSTANDS AND AGREE:
ArcelorMittal Dofasco employees must play in off-shift time. Time off from work will not be granted to participate in activity.

Any League uniforms are the property of ArcelorMittal Dofasco and must be returned on request by the League Team Manager or the Recreation Department.

Connection with activity ceases if ArcelorMittal Dofasco terminates employment. Activity may continue if employee resigns from ArcelorMittal Dofasco and signs appropriate release form. League/Club eligibility rules to continue to play must be adhered to.

Can have all privileges revoked immediately, at any time, at ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s sole discretion.

I am responsible for any damage I may cause to the facilities and I understand that I will be billed for the repairs.

Privacy Policy:
In addition, pursuant to the Personal Information and Protection of Privacy Act, I consent to the use by ArcelorMittal Dofasco of my personal information for the purpose of the administration of the Facility’s programs and leagues and any disclosure to authorities, including but not limited to Hamilton Police Services, in connection with any investigations relating to the Facility and/or the
Activity.
